The Waiting Game
Yesterday was the ranking deadline for residency. I submitted & certified my list no less than four times. This year was a much different experience than last year; I had ten more spots to rank and, while there are a few that I would be a bit more excited about than others, I think I could be happy + successful at almost any of the sites. I’ve also allowed myself a little indulgence I wouldn’t give into last year, fearing I’d jinx myself: looking at apartments in my potential future cities.
So now, I wait. Fifteen days and counting. Match Day is February 24th, and if last year is any indication, I should know my results by 7am. The SO and I are taking off for Vegas that morning at 10 am. A few of our friends are meeting us out there, and I think it will prove to be the perfect destination, no matter how the numbers fall. I’ll either be celebrating up & down the strip or drowning my every hope + dream in tequila.
Oh, and on Saturday the 25th, one my favorite grad school friends and I are doing the Vegas Color Run!
In the meantime, I’m trying to find the best ways to pass the time. There’s work, of course, but I’ve also gotten addicted to the doing Bar Method/Physique 57/Pure Barre and watching Mad Men and Revenge (and lusting after the clothes on both!).
